about me

I was born on November 1, 1975 in Santa Monica, California. I attended Grant Elementary School and then I went to Landmark West School, a private school, for Junior High and High School.

I graduated from High School in June 1993 and started to attend the University of Arizona that fall. I got my Bachelor of Science, Business Administration in Management Information Systems in May 1998.

In May 2000, I received my Master of Science Degree in Management Information Systems from the Eller School of Management at The University of Arizona as well.

After graduation, I moved to the Silicon Valley and started working for Agilent Technologies in Santa Clara, California. I served a wide range of duties from Engineer to Project Manager, but mostly I was supporting large corporate sales and marketing systems. While at Agilent Technologies, I joined Toastmasters. I served as the VP for Membership followed by President. I was first member of the club to earn the level of Advanced Toastmaster - Bronze and Advanced Toastmaster - Silver. During my term as president, my club reached the level of President's Distinguished Club. With most jobs, I was caught in the economic downturn and my job was sent to India. Fortunately for me, I was the last technical resource kept and I found a new job two weeks later.

In September 2003 I began working as a Software System Analyst - Transit for the City of Santa Monica. I was assigned to the Transit Department which is more commonly known as the Big Blue Bus. I am working on the Advanced Fleet Management System which will allow buses to be scheduled better. In addition all of the buses will be tracked via GPS.
